Let me know if you want the long version of how to build one of these walls. The bankers were filled with 2 5 gallon buckets of what we call out here 5/8" minus... rock size plus fines. Those bankers fit 3 out of 4 of us for a working height... stand up, rest you arms along side your body, raise your hand straight out, and that is your finish height. That way when you get a stone on there you don't loose too much technique and ergonomics. I like to be able to swing through my work looking down, rather than other angles and punching...Russ Beardsleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13797407748791768490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-719657130226298018.post-14556026706334190712013-01-23T04:13:33.497-08:002013-01-23T04:13:33.497-08:00Thank you Russ! Minus getting snowed out the second week I was down, it was still great to have my hand in an epic project like this one. Here's to future collaborations in stone! I just love how it gives a nice visual change with the with an unexpected material stone. The foundation and the large granite at the end really ties nicely into the other parts of your project. Nice to see you have such a good eye for connecting the dots. So often missed by your average contractor. The deep colors of your stone choices really make one another pop with out being over the top. Quite a job you have going on. Keep up the great work thank you for taking the time to show everything. I can't believe how on the money you were with your original pencil drawling on vellum to the real deal.

Question ? your banker tables look like they have crush and run. Could do a quick blog on that one? I've only seen wood (acquired a wooden table) but always thought how much I hated the bounce back. With working on a large job with a Kentucky outfit in Baltimore - I learned the trick of trimming on the go with that one beloved stone on the ground. Tell me more about your method of madness.Mark Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05877935145281855858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-719657130226298018.post-4001075492198290812013-01-22T16:57:48.756-08:002013-01-22T16:57:48.756-08:00Thanks Matt!
